Jesus found himself in conflict situations because he saw clearly what was of greatest importance and dared to live by it and endure the hostile reaction he provoked. The disciples are not above the master; they too can expect to be in conflict, to be criticized and misunderstood because their loyalty to Jesus often generates unconventional obedience.
